American Medical Student Association
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) represents more than 30,000 physicians-in-training throughout the world. For more than fifty years AMSA has modeled leadership and service through its members, who participate in programs that cover a wide spectrum, from humanistic medicine and global health to health care legislation and reform, public health, and minorities in medicine. AMSA has filled in the extensive gaps left in the education of medical students for thousands of individuals; creating opportunities for involvement and pursuit of interests and passions outside the realm of the classroom. These medical students represent the vision and the future of medicine, and they are drawn together by a common calling of commitment and dedication to service and compassion. The American Medical Student Association supports students in creating programs and opportunities to advance their own knowledge and to revitalize the practice of medicine and the delivery of health care to all.

Institute of Noetic Sciences
The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), founded in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Capt. Edgar Mitchell, is an organization dedicated to “the exploration of consciousness, contributing to a change in world views and values that will lead to the creation of a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world.” “Noetic” comes from the Greek word “nous” meaning mind, understanding, knowing, implying different ways in which we gain knowledge. IONS has been on the frontier of scientific research and exploration into healing alternatives as well as in our understanding of the nature of human consciousness and how personal transformation can create significant changes in our world. IONS has a beautiful 200 acre campus retreat in Petaluma, California, which will be the residence for the Global Medicine Education Student Program. This site on sacred land will contribute to deepening relationships with nature and spirit, while helping all involved to forge an alliance with other individuals dedicated to a world view that serves and sustains all.
